No you don't need an appointment to have your iris photo taken at one of the fairs or public events. Walk ups are more than welcome.

Yes, we use a flash photography to help us capture a clear crisp image of your iris and we ask that if anyone is sensitive to flashing light, such as those with photosensitive epilepsy, to refrain from booking.

Each iris photograph takes around 10 mins to photograph. We may need to take a few shots to ensure that we have captured your iris clearly.

We ask that contact lenses are removed (where possible). We'll ask you to remove your glasses just before the photo is taken as the glasses cause reflections.

If you wear fake eye lashes we also ask that you remove these (if possible) before attending, as the lashes can cause shadows on the eye.

If you have a preferred eye please make us aware on the day.

You can view your unedited image from the camera screen on the day of the shoot.

However, it will take 3-4 weeks to edit and send your image via a secure online gallery following your photoshoot.

We use a macro lens to capture your iris and the lens will be positioned around 10cm from your eye and moved backwards and forwards to help focus the image.

The flash will be positioned off to the side on a separate tripod and will not flash directly into your eye.

We currently edit on a 'simple' black background as this is the most requested style. There is nothing 'simple' about the art work though. There are no distracting background effects, your beautiful iris takes centre stage in the art work.

Yes, we can accommodate up to 5 iris's in one photo which is particularly nice for larger families and friends. If you have a group size larger than 5 please contact the studio to discuss options in more details using the contacts form .
